♥ Sick and soup days

2011-03-03 Thursday


Had presentation/ progress report meeting in the morning till afternoon. I already felt sick since Wednesday night yet I still go to UM and attended the meeting. Feverish attacked me again after meeting hence took MC and went home. Had porridge for lunch and a long nap after home. Fever still, dizzy and nausea, therefore took another MC on the next day.


2011-03-04 Friday


Finally can have a long sleep. Feel so good that I don't have to go to work though I'm sick. I seriously need more rest now because next week onwards I'm going to be very busy and my work schedules damn pack. Sigh, tonnes of research works. Feeling better in the evening, so I cook old cucumber pork rib soup for myself.

The soup is really nice. I myself finished a two big bowls of it :) Thanks to my mum for bought me the pork ribs, hardly find in the KL/PJ. And yeah, I went to Pulau Ketam on Saturday. I will blog about it later. Stay tune ♥

♥ Rabbit CNY 2011: Day 2..

Day 2


My rabbit CNY day 2 was really short, short as in the celebration is short. Supposed to go Bukit Tinggi and Genting Highlands but trip plans cancelled due to some unwanted circumstances. So I just had a very scrumptious lunch with my family then drove back to KL alone to meet and pick my bf. Such an unlucky day for him because his car broke down at highway while he is on the way back to Mentakab.

What's that cross ur mind when u first see the title "I ♥ HK"? The latest Hong Kong movie casting by Eric Tsang and many others famous actors actresses? :p Hahhah then u make a wrong guess. I'm just want to share with u a cute souvenir that I got from a friend. Thanks to her for buying these little cute "I ♥ HK" key chains for all of us in the lab. There are many colors for eg. black, white, pink, blue, red, green, purple, etc. And I get myself a white one. Pretty pure white and cute. I like it very much :)

♥ 19 to 24-02-2011 Scholarship days

I feel so happy that I received National Science Foundation (NSF) scholarship from Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). This is a great award as well as a powerful encouragement for me to continue striving for my postgraduate study! Ya, for u to get to know more about me, I think I should tell u this *thick face* :P  I'm officially a postgraduate student registered in University of Malaya (UM), pursuing master in medical science. It is by research and so tonnes of research works (mainly focus in virus) will keep me occupied. Tough life :(

Saturday 19-02-2011
I received the scholarship contracts during CNY holiday hence I got no spare time to deal with it. And 24-02-2011 is the last day for the students to submit the it. Things to be submitted together with the agreement included photostated I/C, stamp duty, stamping, etc. I felt nervous actually because I do nothing/ prepare nothing for the contract until 19-02-2011 only I rushed back to hometown to get the signatures from principal of secondary school. And ohh my......! Although they supposed to have additional class in that beautiful Saturday but they went off early before I reached T__T *heart-broken* So all what I can do is just WAIT..till Monday (21-02-2011).

Monday 21-02-2011
Went to my secondary school very early in the morning and thanks God i managed to get the pricipals' signature. Then i went to Hospital Mentakab for a body check up. I didn't know student have to pay for it. They charged me RM20 for the X-Ray and RM20 for the pregnancy test. I'm not really happy with the service, freaking slow, the nurse and doctor do not have work ethics as well. The doctor don't even look properly on my X-Ray and he didn't even check on me. He just asked whether am I sick? I dropped him an answer "NO" then he wrote everything "NORMAL" in my medical report and done. Sweat. Drove back to KL at around 5pm.


Tuesday 22-02-2011
Waiting for my guarantee to get his payslip for the whole day. Sweat and he didn't manage to get one for me.


Wednesday 23-02-2011 

Went off to Wisma UOA at around 7.30am to get my guarantee payslip. While waiting for him I had my breakfast at Meals Station.

Their white coffee tastes so good! I like it very much. I had butter kaya toast and half boiled eggs too, nice :) After that I drove back to UM post office to buy five RM10 duty stamps. To find a parking took me 15minutes sigh. After that I back to my lab to certified all my photostated documents such as I/C and payslips. Then I went to Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri which located at Jalan Duta. I don't know the direction and i do not have gps. I just google maps and managed to reach there safely.

And i gotta wait for like another 40 peoples only my turn to get the stamping. I wait for like around 1 hour and 45 minutes. After had my lunch with the labmates at UM, I drove to Putrajaya to submit the contracts. Luckily i took the correct route and reached there safely at 3.45pm. Met one of my UKM friends, feel so bad that she can recognizes me but I do not know her at all. Contracts submitted and I drove back to UM. It is already 5pm++. 

I feel so exhausted but happy too, now I'm waiting for the government and UM to bank in the scholarship $$$ to me muahhahahha :D

Ohh ya, nextime i shouldn't have prepare all these things at last minute. It is so risky.

♥ Rabbit CNY 2011: Day 1..

It's not too late yet to blog and share about all the happenings during Chinese New Year right? This update gonna be a short one because my rabbit CNY's day one just nothing much to talk about. This year I'm not really longing for the arrival of CNY, it seems getting more and more boring year by year. Most of the friends are not back in hometown and holiday is getting less and less. 

Day 1

Didn't manage to pay a visit to any relatives house, only gathered with friends. First stop at Esther's house, second stop at Pei Wei's house then Thomas's house and last Kent's house. Actually we snapped many photos with Bopet's DSLR but he is way too slow to upload the pictures on facebook and it is really difficult to get all the photos from him. 


And this is why i can only share one group photo of us here................for u

♥ This is a very nice group photo, isn't it? I like this picture very much.

Besides, we also bought a small piece of birthday cake for Wei Shien since he always complaining that he has to share one birthday cake with others (either Ling Ying or Cheng Kit) haha.


There goes my 1st day of rabbit CNY in year 2011.

♥ Housemate's birthday..

Happy birthday to Xin Yan (my lovely housemate), a very sweet and friendly girl ♥

Sharp at 12am, we gave her a birthday surprise. We bought her a cake. Ain't the cake looks just so flavorful and decorated? :D Although it was not a big surprise but I think it will be a memorable one. Everyone wants to feel remembered, loved and celebrated on their birthday, isn't it? :)

Tadaa..... Xin Yan! I just love her smile. She is so cheerful all the time and happy-go-lucky.

♥ Chilling @ Mr. Bear Cafe

Guess none of u ever heard about Mr. Bear cafe, right? Coz it's a new concept cafe which located at a small town in Pahang (Mentakab). But if there's the other Mr. Bear cafe, please do lemme now. I won't hesitate to pay a visit to check it out, to try on new foods, etc. 


Speaking of "Mr. Bear", I thought I supposed to see many bear bear decorations in the cafe, but none! except the winnie the pooh ring folder which contains the menu (as shown in the picture below). A lil bit disappointed hmmm..

.♥ The winnie the pooh ring folder... yupez they put the food menu inside such cute ring folder...

.♥ The menu. A lil bit disappointed too because they served most of the mamak/restaurant foods only such as fried rice, mee etc. Nothing really special, sigh!

.♥ The internal design of the cafe. So pinkish so cute right? It attracts many youngsters especially those secondary school students.

.♥ The external design of the cafe. So lovely and classic isn't it? They should named the cafe "Princess Cafe" :DD

.♥ Now introduce to u the drink ordered by my sister - hot flower tea with honey, RM 2.50 only. For me, it just tastes like honey drink that u can make urself at home. Just so common and i don't know why my sister like it so much.

.♥ My iced lemon tea, RM 2.50 only. The worst ever iced lemon tea that i had tried sweat to the max (-__-)lll So sour! I guess they forget to put in some sugar/ honey??

.♥ My sister ordered salted egg chicken with white rice, RM5.50. Surprisingly it tastes good! 

.♥ And i ordered butter fish with white rice, RM 6.00. Recently I had consumed many chicken hence i go for fish. It tastes okay only. I prefer the salted egg chicken maybe the fish don't really match with the butter.

.♥ French fries, RM 3.00. I didn't know nowadays french fries is so expensive. This small portion costs RM 3 -__- I think with additional few bucks u can buy a very big packet of fries in Carefour/Giant/Tesco etc.

.♥ Butter soft shell crab, RM 7.00. Another side order, don't be surprise that both of us have such big appetite hehe. I have to recommend this, really nice. Nicer than the one i used to order in Zanmai Sushi hehe.

♥ Chinese New Year Eve, 2011

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! 

I'm back in hometown (Mentakab, Pahang) since Monday, together with my youngest brother. Can't wait to celebrate this long-waiting CNY hehe although it's gonna be a short and rush one. Why? Because I'm only available on Chor Yat (初一) to gather with friends and to visit relatives. Pity -__- I wish i can have more time to go wild and crazy with the Mentakab-old-friends. Luckily we had one gathering on CNY eve to celebrate LY's birthday. Not bad, 18 of us :) 


Ohh ya, we bought Secret Recipe's green tea cheese cake for her. For me, it tastes a bit weird though, maybe I'm not a big fans of green tea. Try it and judge urself.

♥ King Arthur Story: What do women really want?

A story to share with u guys :)

This is very interesting..........(to men) please take time to

 ponder........(to women) enjoy the story..........

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a

neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by

Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long

as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to

figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to  death.

The question was: What do women really want?

Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, And to

young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better

than death, He accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by

year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: The princess, the

priests, the wise men, and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone,

but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him

to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the

price would be high as the witch was famous through out the kingdom for

the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to

the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree

to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, The most noble of the Knights

of the Round Table, And Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was

horrified. She was hunch-backed and hideous, had only one tooth, Smelled

like sewage, made obscene noises, etc.

He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He

refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden,

But Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said

nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And the

reservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the

witch answered. Arthur's question thus: 'What a woman really wants?'

She said, 'Is to be in charge of her own life.'

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great

truth. And that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was.

The neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom.

And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and, Lancelot, steeling himself for a

horrific experience, entered the bedroom.

But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay

before him on the bed.  The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she

appeared as a witch, She would henceforth be her horrible and deformed self

only half the time. And the beautiful maiden the other half.

 'Which would you prefer? She asked him. 'Beautiful during the day .... or

 at night?'

 Lancelot pondered the predicament.

 During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his

 friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch!

 Or,

 Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day?

But by night a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments with?

 (If you are a man reading this...) What would YOUR choice be?

 (If you are a woman reading this) What would YOUR MAN'S choice be?
