♥ Boat Noodles at Noodle Doodle Thai Restaurant, New World Park, Georgetown, Penang

Here comes another new boat noodle restaurant in town, named "Noodle Doodle Thai Restaurant". 

Noodle Doodle is located in New World Park, a modern food centre (foodcourt) in Georgetown.

This boat noodle restaurant is clean and quite spacious, with simple interior design.

The menu or food choices, however, quite limited. 

We ordered only a drink, two bowls of thai style pork noodles and a side dish, tofu-tofu-tofu.

Something special (RM 6.90), is their house specialthy drink. It is lime juice with mint leaves. Quite a good drink to quench thirst and very refreshing, although the price is on the high side. 

Tofu-tofu-tofu (RM 3.90). Deep fried tofu topped with three flavoured chilli sauce and cucumber slices. Surprisingly tastes very good and not too spicy for a person who can't take spicy foods. The deep fried tofu absords the chilli sauce, and when you bite it burts into your mouth. 

Boat noodle (soup), RM 1.90 per bowl. It is thai style pork noodle. Soup is quite herbaceous, and we like its overall combination with the addition of kangkung/ water spinach. Portion wise, really small. 

Boat noodle (dry), RM 1.90 per bowl. Also a thai style pork noodle. Also quite good although lack of the taste of herbs. 

If to compare this boat noodle to the boat noodle served by others famous boat noodle restaurants, we personally prefer this type of boat noodles (flavour and taste),

♥ Lee Jetty 姓李桥 at Weld Quay, Georgetown, Penang

Among the six clan jetties in Penang, Chew Jetty is the most tourist-friendly jetty and by far the largest. The popularity of this jetty grew after Ernest painted a mural (depicting a boy and a girl on a boat) on the side of one of the wooden stilt house. Chew Jetty also being featured in one of the famous local movie "Ice Kacang Puppy Love" which directed by Ah Niu. 

Besides Chew Jetty, there are other clan jetties situated along Weld Quay which worth a visit. One of the jetty which caught our attention was Lee Jetty, especially the view of this jetty at night when lanterns and colour LED lights lit up. (Lee Jetty is relatively new and established in late 19th century.) Here we would like to share some of the photos taken during our visit.

♥ Kong Thai Lai Coffee Shop 广泰来茶室 at Hutton Lane, Georgetown, Penang.

一直以来都很喜欢简单的传统式早餐：一杯咖啡/奶茶，生熟蛋和加央牛油面包（烘的/蒸的）。在繁华的吉隆坡城市里，除了Oldtown White Coffee 以外，我还真的不知道哪儿有老店可以让我吃到如此幸福简单的早餐。所以，除了每一次回到家乡那温暖的小镇以外---文德甲，到了槟岛我都会选择这类型的早餐。已有百年历史的广泰来茶室是其中一间你绝对不能错失的茶室，位于Hutton Lane。

看到墙上挂的新闻剪贴吗？糖王和林冠英可是这家茶室的老顾客。

茶室里的桌椅摆设等依然保持那古老的味道。而我，偏爱这种古老的味道。



食物和饮料的价钱。我想目前只有槟岛/北上的地方才有这么合理的价格。我现在喝的Teh Susu 奶茶都至少要RM 2.00。

咖啡。

平时的我都爱喝奶茶（遗传爸爸），但到了槟城到了这些老店，我都喜欢喝咖啡。因为这些咖啡不是每个地方都可以喝到的。对我来说，很珍贵。这咖啡，香浓度恰到好处，喜欢因为不会太过稀薄，也不会太浓太苦，不会太甜。至于奶茶，下次吧！ ：）

Roti Kahwin。 烤面包，涂上牛油和加央。

加央都是自制的，店里也有卖。面包烤得还蛮酥脆的，最重要的是不会太焦。加央很香。

至于生熟蛋，被遗忘了。忘了拍照 -。-|||

♥ Hill top at Jalan Tun Sardon, Balik Pulau, Georgetown, Penang.

There are a few places in Balik Pulau where you can actually enjoy the spectacular view of Penang island or watch beautiful sunset. One of the hill top is located at Jalan Tun Sardon and there is one restaurant named BP Anjung Indah Thai Seafood Restaurant. You can search for this restaurant in google maps/ waze/ gps to reach here. There are also fruits (not to forget to mention Balik Pulau is famous for durian!) and snack stall. A number of park benches are available for visitors too.

Quite an ideal place for phototaking. Will drop by here again to catch sunset and maybe.... Thai seafood dinner.

♥ Saanen Dairy Goat Farm at Balik Pulau, Georgetown, Penang.

Date: 29 December 2013 and 6 October 2014

Balik Pulau, another fascinating town in Penang, is a great place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of Penang city life. Besides scrumptious foods (such as laksa, pasembur, brown sugar bun, durian, fruits and etc) and breathtaking sights along the driving journey, there are many other interesting attractions such as Ghee Hup Nutmeg Factory, fruit farms, Saanen Dairy Goat Farm, waterfall and Hakka Lodge, which worth a visit. We will write about the places mentioned above in separate post and this post will be all about Saanen Diary Goat Farm. 

Saanen Dairy Goat Farm, owned by Mr. Ho Juan Aun, is located at 298 Mukim 1, Sungai Pinang, 11010 Balik Pulau, Pulau Pinang.

Once you reached Saanen Diary Goat Farm, you will see these two wooden pavilion on the left. This is the place where you can sit down and take a break after an exhausting and fun visit to the goat farm. Here you can try their fresh goat milk and yogurt for free. They are selling goat milk pudding, steamed bun and handmade soap as well.

The size of the goat farm where they accomodate the goats is only the size as shown in the picture below. Not a big one but big enough for kids and family. There is no entrance fee and the owner provides grass for you to feed the goats. We couldn't ask for more. 

We, as an adult, had a lot of fun feeding the goat. So, we believe the kids are going to have more fun and excited about it.

You will have the chance to hug and take a close shot with the baby goats if you happen to meet a few that success to escape from the stables. We are lucky during our visit. Besides, you can also purchase goat milk to feed the baby goats. This will be another good experience.

This is our first time visiting a goat farm and it is really an impressive one. Other than goat farm, there are also rabbits and puppies in the farm. They have a vegetable farm as well.
