Farm In The City (FITC) is a park that is completely free of cages where all animals are allowed to room free (except for those dangerous animals). In June, we had spent an awesome time at Farm In The City having close contact with so many animals as well as feed them. It was really an exciting experience and so I would like to share this here without any hesitation. However, the Farm In The City post will be divided into 3 parts or more, due to tonnes of pictures to be shared.
Farm In The City located at Jalan Prima Tropika Barat, Bandar Putra, Seri Kembangan, Selangor. I never heard about this place, but surprisingly this place is easily accessible. Just for your information, this is what you will see when you reach the destination- My Fiesta Garden Explore.Walk inside and turn right, then you will find Farm In The City.
I was walking to the Farm In The City after taking a right turn.
A closer look on the main entrance of Farm In The City. Very typical design of farm/ park.
Walk down the staircase and you will find this which shows you the direction to ticketing counter. In other words, the ticketing counter is located on your left side.
The ticketing counter. The entrance/ admission fees for adult and child below 12 years old are RM48 and RM38 (per person), respectively. But if you are a MyKad holder, you can get promotional fee at only RM30 for adult and RM25 for child below 12 years.
The directory board right in front of the ticketing counter. So, the entire park is subdivided into 12 sections: Mood's Lake, turtle and tortoise farm, bird aviary, reptile carven, rabbit farm, pets village, jungle walk, vegetable and fruit farm, savanna, longkang fishing and Kampung Mahmood.
Besides, there are also farm activities like toucan feeding, animal show, fennex fox feeding and pelican feeding. I do not go for any of these activities. Too busy with phototaking.
Mood's Lake is the first section which you will encounter. In this post, the focus will be on the world's smallest species of horse. More pictures of Mood's Lake will be shared in the next blog post.
There are only two horses. Look at the brown one, it pees when we were trying to snap its photo. Then, opposite of the world's smallest species of horse are Meerkat and Fennec Fox.
Then spotted this little one running fast around and I really got scared. Cageless park is awesome but meanwhile some little one did freak me out, although they wont bite you or harm you.
You can go for horse or pony riding as well (located beside the Meerkat).
Guess this antique car is for decoration purpose.
Then, what welcome us next is the different species of parrots. I supposed this section is the indoor animal exhibition hall. But then I saw the signboard showing Kampung Mahmood. We got a little bit confusing here.
Now I'm going to share with you all the parrots photo we had taken. They are colourful and gorgeous.
(1) Blue-and-yellow Macaw (Ara ararauna)
(2) Green-winged Macaw (Ara chloroptera)
(3) Sulphur-crested Cockatoo (Cacatua galerita)
(4) Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus)
(5) Blue-fronted Amazon Parrot (Amazona aestiva)
(6) Black-capped Lory (Lorius lory)
In addition to the different species of parrots, other animals which you can see inside the indoor exhibition hall including:
(1) Prarie dog
(2) Flemish giant rabbit (The world's largest species of rabbit)
(3) Striped skunk
(4) Ferret
(5) Channel-billed toucan
(6) Chick and duck
And this photo shows how is the indoor exhibition hall looks like.
I should stop the writing and photo sharing here. More photos will be shared in the upcoming post, particularly the Butterfly Garden and Jungle Walk of Farm In The City.
Till then. ♥

ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of KL's bird park but this certainly has more animals although lesser birds. The brown horse so cute looks like a pony to me! :)
