Farm In The City Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3

Finally it comes to the last part (part 3) of writing of Farm In The City one day trip. If you had missed the part 1 and part 2, you are welcome to read and view the photos at these links: Part 1 and Part 2 or visit our Facebook Page

School holiday is just around the corner, so I guess this is the best time ever to bring your kids to explore this Eden of Nature and Animals. In the part 1 and part 2 blog posts, several main attractions/ sections of Farm In The City have been included: Mood's Lake, horse riding, indoor animal exhibition hall, Kampong Mahmood, butterfly garden and jungle walk. In this post I'm going to share with you the remaining attractions/ sections which include the pets village, longkang fishing, vegetables and fruits farm, tortoise and turtle farm, walk through bird aviary and reptile cavern. Do not worry that this post going to be very tedious, I will let the photos do the talking.

Let's continue the tour in Farm In The City to their pets village and longkang fishing. They are located at the same area right after you exit from Jungle Walk. In pets village, there are many free-roaming rabbits and guinea pigs which allow you and your kids to have close contact with the pets. Kangkung and vegetables are provided for you to feed the pets.

The rabbits and guinea pigs are really cute. So I can't resist, decided to abandon the phototaking and get myself involved in feeding the rabbits together with the kids.

More photos of guinea pigs and rabbits.

Besides the rabbits and guinea pigs, I see many kids enjoy the longkang fishing as well. They are really putting efforts in fishing, so adorable.

Located next to the pets village is the rest station, where you can buy some snacks and drinks, sit down and quench your thirst.

We took a short break here and bought ourselves ice-cream and a tin of 100 plus.

While resting, we spotted a chicken under the wooden table. We weren't sure which species is this chicken belongs to, but it looks macho. So, we took a few photos of it.

Next, we came to this very interesting area which located next to the vegetables and fruits farm. All the animals (deer, goat and kangaroo) inside this area are completely cageless. The animal which made me super excited was the world's second smallest species of kangaroo. It is unbelievable that I can stand next to the kangaroo, touch and feed them. Great experience! The kangaroo is laughing too when I took a photo with it. I guess they can feel my happiness too :D In addition, I gained another exciting experience chasing the deer which kept running around (it is real active), with the aims to take a nice and steady photo together with it. So much fun although tiring.

The entrance of vegetables and fruits farm.

In vegetables and fruits farm, you can find ostrich, pigeon house, well, scarecrow, cow and some vegetables as well as fruits.

The pigeon house.

Lime tree.

Next, the walk through bird aviary and reptile cavern. The birds are also cageless (except for the world's rarest white crow) and there are beautiful peacocks as well. As for the reptile cavern, you will have the chance to see different types of crocodiles and python. For this, I didn't take photo of every single crocodile and python because of facing difficulty taking their photos through the glass cage (I bet you wont expect these reptiles will be cageless too, they are dangerous).

The tortoise and turtle farm. In here, not all the tortoise and turtle is roam free. But you definitely have the chance to see quite many different species of tortoise and turtle, including the world's rarest tortoises. And there are some big size tortoise sitting around in the farm for you to touch and feed.

Last but not least, this photo perfectly sums up my trip to Farm In The City.

Doubtlessly, this place is awesome for both the adults and kids. Why not stop crushing yourself under intense work pressure, come here to take a short break from the hustle and bustle of life? Spend more time with your family and loved one, don't let work jeopardizing your life.
